About Us

We are an established group of hardworking undergraduate engineering students who share a passion for innovative design. Together, we form a multidisciplinary team, eager to dive more into the world of aerospace engineering to better tune our technical understanding of the field. Additionally, we strive to foster skills in teamwork, engineering design, and analytical thinking through this collaborative effort.

Overall, MAST's objective is to compete at the annual SAE Aero Design East Competition, which requires participating teams to design and build an airworthy plane while preparing a technical report and presentation to justify design decisions. The process of completing these deliverables provides students with unparalleled learning and growth opportunities that can't be found in a classroom!

Subteams

MAST is divided into 4 subteams, each specializing in specific aspects of the plane's design.

01

Avionics

Responsible for selecting, testing, optimizing, and installing the plane's avionics system

02

Fuselage

Responsible for designing, prototyping, and constructing the plane's fuselage

03

Payload & Landing Gear

Responsible for designing and testing landing gear configurations and the plane's payload system

04

Wings & Tail

Responsible for designing and manufacturing the plane's wing and tail modules
